The Cambrille Story

At Cambrille, we believe that a room is defined not by its walls, but by how it captures light. Our atelier is dedicated to the creation of "Woven Light"—the delicate intersection where artisanal textiles meet architectural illumination.
Born from a heritage of hand-craftsmanship, each Cambrille piece is a study in texture and translucency. From our signature semi-sheer cambric curtains that transform the midday sun into a soft, ethereal glow, to our hand-tailored lampshades crafted in rare ikats, silks, and block-prints, we design for the discerning eye.
We don't just dress a space; we give it a soul. Through the rhythmic pull of the loom and the precise hand of the maker, Cambrille brings a quiet, enduring luxury to the modern home.

From the Founder

Born in India, educated in England, and shaped by life in the United States, my journey across cultures has deeply influenced how I see textiles, design, and the home.

Some of my earliest memories are of visiting my father’s spinning mills and attending ITMA—the “Olympics” of textile machinery—watching powerful innovation transform raw fiber into fabric. While these advancements brought scale and efficiency, they also revealed a quieter contrast: the beauty of handmade textiles and the human touch behind them.

Cambrille was created to bring that sense of craftsmanship into contemporary spaces.

We work with skilled artisans to create curtains, lampshades, and textiles that do more than decorate a room—they filter light, layer spaces, and bring depth through pattern, texture, and form.

Our pieces are designed to feel thoughtful and enduring—softening light, adding movement, and creating interiors that feel warm, balanced, and complete.

Each piece reflects a dialogue between heritage and modern living, where traditional techniques meet a refined, contemporary sensibility.

Our focus is simple: beautiful textiles, careful craftsmanship, and timeless interiors.

Our Approach

Cambrille works with a predominantly women-led artisan network in India, where craftsmanship is practiced with precision and continuity across generations.

Our production is intentionally measured—favoring refinement, consistency, and long-term collaboration. Alongside this, we invest in training women without prior formal training, equipping them with the expertise to build lasting, meaningful roles within our production network.

Designed in the United States and crafted in India, each piece reflects a balance of heritage and refinement, where process is as considered as the final form.
